The young have been cinema’s core audience and most frequent visitors for decades - in 1983 tickets sold to 13-25 year olds represented 55% of all US cinema admissions.

But that number has declined significantly since then, reaching a historical low in 2011 when 12-24 year olds made up just 22% of all US cinema goers. By 2019 the majority of US cinema audiences were adults aged 25-39, outnumbering their 12-24 yr old Gen Z & Gen Alpha counterparts almost two to one.

How can we minimise or even counter this decline?

At the “Use Today’s Tech To Reach Tomorrow’s Moviegoers” Webinar our panel of experts will:

  1. REVIEW how the young cinemagoing market has evolved in recent years
  2. PRESENT the latest media consumption trends, from Gen Z to Gen Alpha
  3. CONSIDER how social media, mobile gaming and other content providers successfully interact with this audience digitally
  4. REVEAL how using the human touch to steer emerging tech can draw them to the big screen
  5. DISCUSS how a digital strategy can successfully generate empathy driven decisions

usheru is a movie marketing and analytics company focused on connecting entertainment projects to audiences through smart, long-term and meaningful relationships.

We have developed a cinema network to help exhibitors sell more tickets by connecting to cinema POS systems to directly sell tickets driven by studio consumer marketing for a movie.

Our experts and technology platforms support a wide range of partners within the movie distribution, promotion and exhibition industries - studios, distributors, national film bodies and producers - to help them showcase their content, maximise their audience reach and increase ticket sales.

Gruvi provides data driven research using the latest tools & techniques to establish exactly who will be interested in the content we are promoting: the size and demographic of these audience groups, which digital platforms they use, and the topics & themes they discuss in relation to it.

Using these audience research techniques we construct targeted digital strategies for social media and programmatic advertising. Our planning also incorporates predictions on how likely the audience is to meaningfully engage with the campaign.
